Where is Disneyland Paris?
Disneyland Paris is in Marne-la-Vallée, east of the city, in the Seine-et-Marne area. The resort includes two theme parks, Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios, along with several hotels and the Disney Village entertainment district. The Marne-la-Vallée – Chessy train station sits right in front of the park entrances, and the Disney hotels are nearby.
Many families combine a stay in Paris with a few days at the parks. Others fly straight into Charles de Gaulle and head to their Disney hotel as soon as they land. Either way, the ride is worth planning ahead, especially with young kids and several suitcases in tow. A well-planned ride means day one starts on a good note.
RER, TGV or shuttle: your options from Paris and CDG
From Paris, the RER A commuter line runs directly to Marne-la-Vallée – Chessy station. It’s the budget-friendly choice, but you may need to change lines to reach the RER A, haul your bags through the corridors and deal with crowds at rush hour. With a stroller and several suitcases, those hassles add up fast and can wear kids out before you even reach the parks.
From CDG airport, some TGV high-speed trains connect the airport station to Marne-la-Vallée – Chessy, and shuttle buses serve the Disney hotels. Those options do mean sticking to set schedules and getting bags and strollers to the platform or the bus stop. A private transfer leaves when you’re ready and drops you right at your hotel.
Traveling with kids: what makes the difference
With kids, a comfortable ride matters as much as the destination. Bring water, snacks and something to keep them busy, and keep favorite stuffed animals within reach rather than buried in a suitcase. Think about car seats, too: in France, young children must ride in a restraint suited to their height and weight.
Luggage volume is easy to underestimate: strollers, bags for several days, souvenir shopping on the way back. A roomy vehicle means nobody rides with a suitcase on their lap. And after a long day at the parks or an overnight flight, not having to carry anything is a real relief for parents.
